Bermuda Championship 2021 Live stream: watch online, golf tee times, TV schedule, radio. The PGA Tour returns to a more normal time zone this week with plenty to play for in Bermuda. Another week of PGA Tour golf and another country for the PGA Tour -- from Las Vegas two weeks in a row to Bermuda via Japan. Totally normal travel schedule if you played in all three of those events (or if you plan to play next week in Mexico at the Mayakoba Golf Classic).

This week's field is, well, very interesting. It includes some nice names -- Matt Fitzpatrick, Patrick Reed and Mito Pereira -- but overall is one of the least-talented fields -- according to the Official World Golf Rankings -- of the entire season.

So, why watch? Well there are a few reasons. The first is that Bermuda is great scenery that offers the occasional benefit of nasty, windy weather that shows off the skills of Tour players. The second is that this is actually a low-key important event on the fall slate for almost everyone in this field. This tournament was supposed to be an opposite field event, but because the WGC-HSBC Champions was canceled, it retains full status on the PGA Tour and will offer a Masters berth as well as 500 FedEx Cup points. It's almost certain that somebody who was not already in the Masters is going to get in by winning this week. It's also probable that somebody who was not going to make it to the Tour Championship if this was still an opposite field event is going to have a real chance to do so as well.

While it obviously does not have the star power of most of the other events on the PGA Tour slate, there are still plenty of intriguing nuggets about this week -- how about Bermuda resident Camiko Smith qualifying for this tournament for the second straight year with 1,250-1 odds to win after shooting 71-81 last year? -- and also a handful of compelling reasons to tune in, especially on the weekend when things get tight and an invite to Augusta National is on the line.

The PGA Tour heads to Port Royal Golf Course in Southampton, Bermuda, for the Butterfield Bermuda Championship. Here’s what you need to know for Thursday’s opening round.

Former Masters champ Patrick Reed, at 24th in the World, is the highest-ranked player in the field, and Matt Fitzpatrick and Christiaan Bezuidenhout are also among the betting favorites.

The winner of this year’s event gets 500 FedEx Cup points and a Masters invite, yet the tournament failed to get a full field. Issues with travel, Covid restrictions and a soft spot on the schedule are all reasons for the dip in players, which you can read more about here.

But that just means there are less people for those on site to beat. Brian Gay returns to defend his title. Last year he birdied the 72nd hole to force a playoff with Wyndham Clark, then beat Clark with a birdie on the first playoff hole.

This is just the third year of the tournament, and no one has played it better than Gay. Besides his win last year, he was T3 in 2019.
