First I dont want to blame someone for cheats. I'm just wondering is Wargaming using a program to detect cheating programs or not? I have been reading some old forum posts and I found out that some pleople just dont believe that there are cheaters I know with experience it way easier to hit citadels and so on but someone who believes that nobody is cheating is just living in an other world. Actually I think there are more cheaters around in wows than we all think. I played a lot of different games in my live and there are always cheaters around specialy in our days are a lot more people cheating than 5 to 10 years ago So the best thing to eliminate that would be a software protection. Now back to my question does somebody know if wargaming is using such software for WOWS? I dont know anything about WG using something to detect illegal software but after all the battles i have played I have not come across someone who is obviously cheating. So either all cheaters are using it really smart and not too noticable or there are only a few who I've luckily never met. And yes, like most of us ive played numerous games of all sorts and all of them had cheaters in them. But in, for example, Battlefield it was very obvious if someone was cheating. Shooting from behind corners or headshots from ridiculous distances and things like that For WoWs on the other hand it isnt so clear if someone is cheating or not. So thats probably why I have never felt that my opponent was cheating but more often than not they where just lucky with their RNG. IF there are cheats it would be aim asists. Yeah so it does not bother me at all. Ofcourse I get deleted every once in a while but most of the time its my own fault. Ofcourse I eat massive damage from incredible distance every once in a while. But never have I stared at my screen saying 'That was impossible, has got to be a cheater'. But I would be interested in knowing if wargaming actually 'catches' cheaters with some CIA-software or something. Many players cried in the forum and on facebook about having been banned. Well wouldnt say that using aimbot is forsure more perfect than human can be because its directly calculated with ingame datas but forsure its not like in a shooter where its a huge difference. Before people go on about Priority Target blinking I routinely swap torps to guns and back repeatedly so any blinking isn't a real indication. One of the cheats available in a certain programme, that I won't name on here, displays the torpedo tracks as soon as they're in the water unspotted from their origin and I'm certain some people use it to see when torpedoes are launched. You cant use any programs to cheat the position you put yourself in, the prediction of movements from the enemies as well as your teammates and how to read the flow of the game. There is and always has been ways to unfairly gain an upper hand against other players in online games. For the publisher or owner of this game. Once a game is known to be hacked or that there are publicly known that there are ways to cheat, its walue drops fast. You will never see an real official list of reasons for banned mods or add-ons, as it would mean game is not safe, and game is not worth investing in. They also indirectly by banning oficially mods reveal veaknesses other programmers can exploit, or buy exploits. They need to block all attempts of hacks as fast as they can, anfd hope they never face a hack they cant patxh without changing the core of the program. The only thing I'm not keen on is that "allowed" mod that gives you an 'X' on your minimal for aiming point.
