This mod provides detailed, accurate, and standardized names for all nations, Yet another comment (lol) but as per this Reddit comment, I believe you. I Will have it there until Further Notice by a gaijin mod :). If you analyse it closely, you will see that the differences between two game mods are more significant. The absence of allied markers changes. the mods here, and lets face it, Nobody does, Just stop using these forums. We have a constructive base over at /r/warthunder on Reddit. well, I think I might start using this instead from now on (as the official Forums are useless, and full of power hungry mods/admins).

I am NOT going to go into a long talk about how i have spent SO much money or been playing SO long, i am only going to say, If you dont like the mods here, and lets face it, Nobody does, Just stop using these forums. When I got on this morning, four of the top five threads were about forum moderators. I added one myself:. I wonder, where did those threads go? No matter. I disagree with you however; if you do not like the moderation on this forum, I suggest you stay here and do something to change it. One could begin by making their dissatisfaction known in as public a manner as is possible. If you would like to know more about how you can make a difference I will be addressing this matter directly in an upcoming post tomorrow morning. I am looking forward to hearing from you all. I don't necessarily agree or disagree with your post OP. The mods are like any other group of people that are gathered together. There are good ones and bad ones. Not all cops, teachers, firemen, doctors, or any other profession are all good or all bad I'm thinking hard about lawyers, but we'll give the benefit of a doubt. There has to be a good one somewhere. The problem is the bad ones do exactly what you said. They ruin the entire experience for many of us. But they are the ones who are most noticeable and to be honest, cause the most impact. I've run into a few of these and have observed their actions with others as well. However, I have run into some good ones as well who do not use their power like the Sword of Damacles. They listen and try to be helpful and they only use their power as a very last resort. Respect is earned, it is not a right given due to ones position, no matter how high that position is. I have little to no respect for the first group. I have a great deal for the latter. All in all, I agree there is a problem here with some who are self-serving or just don't know how to handle their power responsibly and a few who are afflicted with "little man syndrome". But let's not condemn them all. There are some here who have earned the respect they have been given. And believe me when I say that there are some mods here who can attest to the fact that my name and "fan boy" should not even be spoken in the same galaxy. But I try to be fair. I honestly feel like if enough people just stop using the forums altogether, Maybe Gaijin, or the mods will realize something is wrong. They need to get a plaque that reads "The Customer is Always Right" and display it everywhere they can. Umm that thread is pretty much the kind of example people are talking about here and on other websites. I am not at all happy after reading that. Something needs to be done. It is great that they are dedicating their own time to the game, but it is clear that trained employees are needed to manage the community. Many of the mods do excellent jobs, but even this falls short of what is needed. Since even the lead mods are volunteers, it is a dice roll as to whether or not they are trained in business communications, crisis management, or other skills that are required for managing a business relationship. I have talked back and forth with Stona on these concepts and have enjoyed our conversations. He is a reasonable guy and great to talk with. Slowly, but surely I am trying to hammer business teachings into him though ;. On a serious note: I have messaged him and brought the thread mentioned in your post to his attention. As for the moderators signature: I agree. I thought this even before I read this post. I had written it off that his superiors should be aware of it, and if they think it inappropriate that they would ask him to remove it. Now that I see that other people interpret the signature in the same way, I messaged him about it and told him that it did come across in a way that undermined the mod-user relationship. Imagine the chaos that would appear without these same moderators and helpers and other staff that help you every day? What would happen with all your little suggestions without these kind people that payed attention and showed the devs how good the suggestions are? Imagine, what would you do against the rage, critics and insults that would appear every day? Imagine, imagine just the amount of cry and critics You must respect what the staff does every single day, because being a mod is not just about locking and being a cold and non careless man as you might think. SO thus, show a little bit of respect because without all the staff you critic so much lately, WT would be a lot less good place and this community would be far, far worse. They may have responsibilities but some aren't acting responsible. Some in fact seem like they're acting like they had a bad a day and are taking it out on the forum. That's totally ir responsible. Listen, heavy-handed moderating is what's causing such discontent in the first place. You don't respond to that by cracking down and becoming even more heavy-handed, issuing warning after warning for the most petty "offenses". That's not unlike a police force cracking down on a community upset with them by going out and issuing ticket after ticket for jaywalking. There are other MMOs where mods and admins keep the peace on the forums and somehow remain polite and even pleasant while doing it, so it can't be that hard to do. What's needed is incentive to do it that way, and that incentive comes from being responsible to someone higher up who will not tolerate anything less. Well the moderators should be paid staff, especially since in many jurisdictions it is illegal for a 'for-profit' company to use volunteers in its operations violation of employment law. Also positive contributions are not an excuse for gross misconduct. People aren't perfect of course, but I have seen some examples of behaviour from the mods which I would say are unacceptable. Also why the double standard? If one wants to be on the community council and help out, them must have a spotless record. For example I had called people out in game for have complete disrespect for their team and other players, and got a chat ban for it. Violating this rule no mater the reason outweighs any and all of my community contributions, and thus I cannot run for council. Leadership is the background of any organization and by organization I do not limit it to businesses. Good leadership is generally linked to the success or failure of a business, or the overall health of a community. One of the most basic facts in leadership theory is that coercive leadership punishment as a primary activity generally creates a toxic culture, and poor productivity. I can recommend the sub, there's a lot of interesting discussion over there partly imo as a result of the independent moderation. I have only responded directly to this post but I see a lot of valuable and intelligent discussion going on here being carried out by many different users. It makes me proud. I would like to thank you for forwarding your complaints. I have received countless messages since creating "the signature thread" that corroborate the same feelings it seems many of us now share. Thank you all for your ideas. I will try to contribute more content this afternoon. I've seen this phrase bandied around here a few times already. The problem with this is simple. The customer is not "Always Right. No, that's just stupid. I'm not saying the people from Gaijin's side of the table are always right either, BE's wouldn't fight against I's with historical tiering which I'm personally not a fan of either but that's a separate issue. Seriously though, anyone who pays any sort of attention sees plenty of wrong from both sides. To blatantly say one side is always right simply because they're the customer is foolishness to the highest degree. Forum thunder or bust! Reddit is an otherwise undesireable place where nobody cares about anybody. At least here theres some feeling of community. You can't use extreme examples for "the customer is always right. The waiter know he didn't but he takes his order back anyway and gives him a new burger. I'll give an example from this game: GF SB players know there's a problem with the respawn disparity. They want either no respawns at all or everyone gets 1 respawn. Most do not want the spawn point system currently being tested. It's not a crazy request, it's not even a difficult request to implement as far as I know. It's simply removing all respawns in SB games or giving every tank 1 respawn no matter what. The problem with that line of reasoning Ted, is simply saying "the customer is always right" is extreme on its own. Especially to people who don't have English as their native language and aren't familiar with our phrases like that. It's like if someone says "Inshallah Allah. It's as simple as "if god wills it" but at the same time, it's actually a lot more of an in depth statement. I'm not going to go into it here because this isn't the place for it, but it was the first similar example from a different language to come to me. I draw the parallel because it can be just as easily misinterpreted. I think the issue is a group of people wish to complain about things that are not valid for a topic. Such as moderators or an issue about the developers decisions that have been asked not to be talked about openly because it makes Gaijin look bad I guess. Something tells me that the mods simply don't like certain people because of past things they have said thus these people experience a lot of deleted posts. This is no good. The majority of players probably aren't on the forum anyway. Also the majority of players never get past level 20, and they don't care at all about the game. They just come up, try a few things, buy some premium, then leave when they lose interest. Around level from what i see. I hope you understand the point I'm making. Reddit is a good place right now. CMs are actively discussing with the players in a friendly and pleasant environment. They promised us changes to come in due time, we should give them said time and patiently wait for things to take a turn for the best. A bit of support too, now they deserve some.
