Yeah well, I jumped to about 5 systems now, and still get the same upgrades in every space station. Got a LOT of nanites after about 12 hours of gameplay but no decent upgrades. Have you tried purchasing a cheaper module to see if inventory will replace at next station? So make sure you are looking in the second option on the tech vendors and not the first. Additionally grabbing the Economy Scanner and building it can help as S class upgrades are more often found in wealthy systems. When buying general tech in the first section you will need to purchase something for new stuff to show up. You will want everything in the first category of the vendors anyways but you can prioritize some what in the main modules. Went to the first Atlas and there I found the S-scanner type.
