The Tactical Capsuleer Recloner is a new module for Supercarriers, allowing fleet members who are podded in battle to respawn inside a local fleet Supercarrier and enter a fitted ship that is already stowed inside the massive vessel itself! A new booster type, called the Nanoheuristic Clone Mapper, will be introduced that must be consumed for a fleet member to become eligible for Supercarrier Recloning. In addition, there will be amazing and long-deserved new visuals in this update with Supercarriers doubling in size, more visual details added to the engines, detailed textures with more texture space allocated to the Supercarrier hulls, and holographic effects surrounding the Supercarriers that will be visible during ship assembly! XL torpedoes are getting increases to damage, explosion velocity, and missile velocity, with all other torpedoes also having their explosion and missile velocities increased, and explosion radius decreased. There are also specific changes for the Moros, Phoenix, and Stealth Bombers. A new episode of the Pulse has docked! Welcome back to another episode of the Pulse, Capsuleers, as your regular dose of news from New Eden returns! The Depths of the Abyss update coming in September will introduce new tiers to Abyssal Deadspace, allowing players who are unfamiliar with the Abyss a chance to experience it at a more accessible level, while also offering more experienced Capsuleers even greater challenges and rewards! The introduction of Tier 0 sites to Abyssal Deadspace will offer less experienced, curious Capsuleers an opportunity to dip their toe into Abyssal Deadspace with less danger. This will allow them to become familiar with the kind of ships and environments they can expect to encounter at higher tiers. For those who are looking for a greater challenge, new Tier 6 Abyssal Deadspace pockets are also coming as part of the Depths of the Abyss update! Offering even better rewards, these new sites will give even seasoned Abyss runners something new to master. The Dreaded Collective update coming on 25 August will bring a number of changes to Triglavian vessels, including ammo damage upgrades to the Zirnitra that will make it a strong competitor against other Dreadnoughts. However, a large-scale attack from the Triglavian Collective against their joint production and research facilities threatens to disrupt the celebration! There will be Capsuleer Day Clash event sites available from 7 May to 20 May throughout New Eden, restricted to allow Battlecruisers only, with more advanced sites all over Lowsec, Nullsec and wormhole space. Rewards will include new SKINs, limited time cerebral accelerators, limited time standings boosters and special limited time 10 pilot Needlejack Filaments! The overall theme will revolve around shifting the balance of power in New Eden, and there will be events, celebrations, login campaigns, visual updates, huge balance changes, new and mysterious ships and weapons, as well as the final chapter of the Invasion expansion. First up for the Eclipse Quadrant will be the return of The Hunt on 6 April, a time of year when Capsuleers will undertake their now-annual egg hunt! Players will hunt down and scan capsules in order to gain access to special event sites, and potentially valuable drops. This will be an event with smaller ship classes like Frigates and Destroyers as the focus, so pilots with less experience and fewer skills trained can get involved. During The Hunt, player pods will have a chance of dropping their implants as loot when destroyed, so get podding! The quest for a healthy Capital ecosystem continues with a massive update to Capital survivability, resistance modules, and more in the Surgical Strike update, coming this April! As outlined in the recent Ecosystem Outlook blog , bold changes are being made across EVE in the search for diversity and new exciting options for pilots. Surgical Strike will bring Capital survivability more in line with the rest of New Eden, reduce the overwhelming power of logistics, make adjustments to some long-standing powerhouses in the Subcapital meta, and begin to establish more payoff for getting up close and personal with your enemies. More from the dev team. The Frigate Escape Bay is a special bay capable of holding a single, fitted Frigate that will be added to all Battleships. Should the Battleship be destroyed, instead of being ejected in your capsule and left helpless, you will launch immediately back into combat aboard your Frigate! More information. The Loyalty to Lowsec update coming on 24 March will provide a thrilling climax to the Fight or Flight Quadrant, featuring a number of changes to Faction Warfare, such as increased Loyalty Point payouts for PvP kills, and a reduction in payouts for Faction Warfare missions. There will also be an increase in the activation area that surrounds acceleration gates leading to combat complexes and brand new Battleship-specific capture sites added. A perfect opportunity for Capsuleers to make use of the brand new and exciting Frigate Escape Bay feature going live on 24 March. Furthermore, there will be an increase to the loot dropped from PvP in Lowsec and an increase to warp speed in Lowsec between 24 March and 6 April. Finally, an additional task will be added to the Skilling is Just a Means event that runs until 14 April. Capsuleers will be offered an extra 10, Skill Points daily for killing one of the NPCs defending the Faction Warfare capture sites, so that makes 20, Skill Points available every day! Some will even be distributed exclusively through upcoming events. The second chapter of the EVE Online: Invasion expansion, the next step in the Triglavian story that has thrown New Eden deep into conflict with this unrelenting and mysterious enemy. The new Triglavian Dreadnought - the Zirnitra - makes its bow in this new chapter. This killer vessel will prove a challenging adversary for Capsuleers, but also a desirable prize for those that can pilot it. There will also be new skills required for piloting the Dreadnought, as well as the monstrous new Ultratidal Entropic Disintegrator weapon and new ammo for it. Calling all booshers and Boson users! Also, Ansiblex jump gates and Tenebrex cyno jammers will no longer be anchorable within km of another structure. After a grace period which will last until early December, any established Ansiblex or Tenebrex within km of another structure will be offlined. Power to the Matari fleet! Medium Autocannons are also getting an upgrade across the board. Every Cruiser, Battlecruiser and Battleship now warps faster than before and travelling via autopilot will also be faster now with the warp in distance changed from 15km to 10km. The horrors of Halloween are descending on New Eden, so we take a look at some of the goodies coming your way! The EVE Dev team have been working on a package of tweaks, fixes and improvements for the September release. These changes, with a couple of exceptions, are primarily focused on improving the experience for pilots in their first few hours and days in New Eden. Many of these changes will be useful for pilots of all experience levels. Watch the forums for more info. An 'Attributes' tab has been added to the show info window for NPCs. This tab will list their damage resistances as well as showing what damage types they deal. As expected from its ship class, Assault Damage Controls can be fitted to the Ikitursa greatly enhancing its defensive capabilities. It also receives powerful bonuses to the maximum damage multiplier for heavy entropic disintegrators making the Ikitursa a powerful ship for frontline brawls. The Draugur is a terrifying Tech II invention of the Kikimora inheriting many of its characteristics while establishing the Draugur into the Command Destroyers class of ships. With the ability to fit Command Burst and Micro Jump Field Generator modules, the Draugur also brings to the field its bonuses in light entropic disintegrators and a reduced signature radius penalty for Microwarpdrives. Assault Damage Controls are available to be fitted to the Nergal along with bonuses to the maximum damage multiplier for light entropic disintegrators. Similar to the Draugur and Ikitursa, it also features a reduced signature radius penalty for Microwarpdrives. Tech II ammunition will be able to be loaded into all Faction, Storyline, and Officer weapon variations. This will open up options for more fitting variations available than ever before without sacrificing the use of Tech II ammunition in your weapons. To accommodate the new Tech II Triglavian Ships being added, we're taking the opportunity to adjust Triglavian ship and module production with the Invasion expansion. Brand new skills are introduced which are required for the invention and manufacture of Tech II Triglavian ships. New datacores, and new tech II components will also be made available that will be used for the invention and production of these Tech II Triglavian ships. To round off this year's additions to the Triglavian ship tree, the December release will see the introduction of the Rodiva class tech I cruiser and its tech II counterpart, the Zarmazd class logistics cruiser. These two hulls will benefit from an all new Triglavian themed remote repair module designed around the same weapons characteristics as the Triglavian Entropic Disintegrator. New Eden is in an ever-evolving state and as we push toward the third decade, the next expansion for EVE Online is right on the horizon. More quality of life changes, fresh balance, new precursor ships and content and more iteration on abyssal deadspace are right around the corner with EVE Online: Onslaught, as well as a whole host of new navigation structures that further enable capsuleers to become masters of their domain. A new addition to the Triglavian ship tree, the Kikimora is a destroyer class hull designed by the Collective for patrolling abyssal deadspace and engaging in fast attack hit and run operations. With EVE Online: Onslaught, capsuleers will be able to get their hands on this hull for the first time, giving access to a fast, light destroyer hull that excels at dictating the range of an engagement and dishing out damage. With EVE Online: Onslaught, capsuleers will gain access to this new Triglavian battlecruiser class hull that sports the first defensive bonuses on a hull designed by the Collective. Built as an in-your-face brawler with armor resistance bonuses, the Drecavac is the first Triglavian hull to favour all out combat over speed and agility, adding new tactical options for those looking to specialize in piloting precursor vessels. Based on community feedback and requests for a deeper look into the current effectiveness of these hulls, a balance pass is coming to Force Auxiliaries that aims to tweak both their remote and local repair abilities. Join the discussion. Sporting new sites, visuals and content, pilots will be able to run the gauntlet and engage in a new play experience to obtain a unique new material through both mining and combat. This will allow capsuleers to construct their own cerebral accelerators! As always, pilots will need to access the Crimson Harvest objectives via The Agency, decide which objectives they want to tackle, then take on the challenges to rack up agency points. The Crimson Harvest will run from October 23rd through to November 5th. Be sure to take part to earn exclusive rewards! Several changes to ECM are coming with the October release that will provide more counter play options to those who find themselves on the receiving end of target jamming effects. Pilots who find themselves target jammed will now be able to lock the vessel jamming them, to allow for retaliation and counter play against the effects of ECM. With the October release, capsuleers will benefit from changes to interdiction nullification that will see the effect removed from combat interceptors the Claw, Crusader, Raptor and Taranis. These changes aim to preserver the unique role that interceptors play as scouts and tacklers, while introducing more significant trade-offs for the powerful mechanic that is nullification. Details in the dev blog. This release will see fixes to a number of graphical issues, including incorrect display of the structure build effect, fixes for occlusion maps on Gallente frigates and tweaks to several skins and dirt levels. Based on community feedback, the Damavik will see some slot layout changes with this release that aim to make it a more versatile frigate. Losing a low slot and gaining an extra mid slot should make the Damavik more versatile, giving a wider range of tactical fitting options. Read the dev blog. The October release will see the introduction of this new module that can be fitted to Heavy Interdictors as part of efforts to balance the use of heavy interdictors with oversized propulsion modules. With the arrival of the September release comes a whole host of quality of life improvements for capsuleers to enjoy - or "little things", as they're more commonly known. With customization for the market ticker, activation of multiple SKIN licenses at the same time, refinement of navigation hotkeys so that they also work on wormholes, clearer UI tooltips and more versatile ship fitting simulation with improved tooling, there's something for everyone in this release's round of quality of life improvements. Both the Osprey and its Navy Issue counterpart will receive a full visual overhaul with this release, including new models, textures, animations and visual effects to enhance their appearance and continue the overhaul of Caldari hulls. The Basilisk class logistics cruiser and its super rare Alliance Tournament prize counterpart the Etana will receive a substantial visual overhaul with this release. Utilizing the new base model for the Osprey, these hulls will receive an entire overhaul from the keel up with entirely new visuals, animations and effects. Once again, the Amarr Empire is gearing up for its annual celebration of the coronation of Empress Catiz I. From August 21st through to September 4th, pilots will be rewarded via The Agency for exploration of Abyssal Deadspace. From Cerebral Accelerators to exclusive Triglavian SKINs and mutaplasmids for Ancillary modules that are only available through this event, pilots who complete abyssal challenges are sure to earn sizable rewards for the risks they take. Rewards that are both time limited and exclusive will include "Singularity Storm" SKINs for Triglavian hulls as well as all new unstable mutaplasmids for Ancillary Armor Repairers and Shield Boosters of all sizes that are only available via this event. Gallente pilots will be able to rejoice with this release, as both their Tech I logistics frigate and its advanced Tech II counterpart receive a visual overhaul. New models, textures, visual effects and animations are coming for the Navitas and its advanced counterpart, the Thalia. The Lai Dai Corporation will be looking to perform an overhaul of both the Tayra class industrial and its Tech II deep space transport counterpart the Bustard with this release. New models, textures, animations and visual effects are coming for both these hulls with this release. The Badger, dependable workhorse of many Caldari logistics and haulage corporations, will receive a complete visual overhaul with this release. In addition to this, its Tech II cloaky blockade runner variation, the Crane will also recieve a new model, textures, visual effects and animations. With this release, new pilots will be able to enjoy the start of a series of updates to the New Player Experience. This update focuses on delivering a new basic starter site for rookie pilots, as well as combat challenges displayed via The Agency and a new Agency UI for training tasks. These challenges are repeatable, but new pilots will only be rewarded with skills upon first completion as part of the rookie orientation process. This is it, the final four, the pinnacle of tournament greatness as Alliance Tournament XVI comes to an explosive conclusion. The finals will see a playoff fight for the third place spot, and the grand final that decides who will be crowned Alliance Tournament Champions. Alliance Tournament season kicks off again, with grizzled veterans and rookie teams alike set to fight it out for one of the most coveted titles in New Eden — Alliance Tournament Champions. Available for capital and supercapital hulls, as well as Minmatar Marauder and Black Ops hulls, this SKIN uses new banner technology to show off the banners of liberation. These SKINs will be accessible as rewards and via loot drops, and are available for more than 30 ships, ranging from Frigates to Battleships! With the deployment of the July release, we'll see the addition of a drone bay to the Zealot, a slight reduction in the max velocity of the Retribution in order to bring it in line with the rest of the Assault Frigates, and a switch in bonuses for the Claw that will see it's Minmatar Frigate bonus change from turret damage to rate of fire. With the July release, missile graphics will receive a substantial overhaul, with a view to increasing performance during large scale missile based engagements. Capsuleers will be able to enjoy more optimized graphics and effects, and substantial improvements in client performance when this change is rolled out. Race across the galaxy and compete against the clock as you fly past some of the most iconic sites, systems, and wrecks in known space. You can claim great rewards for every event milestone reached, and you will face a new race course each time you compete. Then, go to the event site hosted in the Luminaire system in Gallente space and speed off to the first race checkpoint. Each race course is different, so be sure to keep a close eye on the events section in the Agency for your next destination. Start racking up those Agency points for any objectives completed, eventually unlocking further rewards with your gathered points. With New Eden thrown into chaos after a new threat emerges on the fringes of known space, the CONCORD Assembly enlists the assistance of capsuleers to venture off the edges of the map and into the unknown. Beyond charted space lies Abyssal Deadspace, the hazardous domain of a radically advanced civilization, The Triglavian Collective. This new frontier brings the promise of technology light years ahead of the most advanced in New Eden, but the risks involved to acquire it may prove too much for all but the most skilled of pilots. A new horizon has been drawn, and the beauty of this new domain is matched only by it's unforgiving ferocity. New vessels, weapons, technologies and unimaginable wealth lie beyond, but only for those intrepid few who dare make the journey into the abyss. Utilizing Entropic Disintegrator technology, the Damavik is a fast attack frigate with substantial damage potential and the ability to dictate the range and rules of engagement. In the hands of a skilled pilot, it's a deadly adversary that will no doubt have many frigate pilots rethinking their engagement tactics. A solid damage platform that utilizes Triglavian weapons technology, the Vedmak is a fearsome cruiser with the ability to dictate engagement range and the staying power to remain on the field for lengthy engagements. A true behemoth from the abyss, the Leshak utilizes Triglavian weapons technology to boast the highest potential destructive power of any sub capital class vessel in existence. Battleship pilots who can get to grips with piloting the Leshak will be revered on the field of battle, and feared by any capsuleer their crosshairs fall upon. The Triglavian Collective possess biotechnology with the capability of altering resources and modules in the abyss. This technology takes the form of artificial mycoplasmid colonies that can be harvested from within abyssal deadspace, and unleashed on existing modules. These mutaplasmids will alter the properties of modules in unpredictable ways, sometimes increasing their bonuses and making them more efficient, and other times rendering them less capable than before. Capsuleers should be careful when taking the risk on potential experimentation, but the rewards for being bold could vastly increase the value of their hardware. In the hands of a skilled pilot these new weapons can prove devastating, however capsuleers will need to manage range and utilize solid tactics, as Entropic Disintegrators deactivate and discharge once their target drifts out of optimal range, resetting their damage potential. A reduction in the Jump Fatigue Timer takes the maximum possible fatigue accumulation from 4 days to 5 hours, and also results in a Jump Activation Cooldown now taking the maximum possible cooldown from 9. Pilots across the cluster will benefit from balance changes to several hulls with this release that are aimed at keeping the combat meta in New Eden fresh and engaging. Increases in lock range and cargo capacity for battleships as well as the ability for Attack Battlecruisers to fit Medium Micro Jump Drives are coming, as well as a number of tweaks to several Battlecruisers and Heavy Assault Ships. It will be completely focused on survivability at the expense of all other attributes, intended for pilots who absolutely need to be able to survive uncloaked in a battle. It has no cargo bay, weapons, or drones, and focuses on staying power to allow fleet commanders and other important pilots in a major engagement to stay on the field longer. Keep an eye on the news and your wingmen to see the cool color combinations coming with the latest event. This release will see significant changes to the operation of Upwell structures with the aim of making sizable quality of life improvements. With these changes, capsuleers across the cluster will benefit from more balanced reinforcement timers, improvements to structure takedown and combat mechanics, as well as more evenly scaled reinforcement and destruction mechanics depending on the area of space a structure is deployed in. This is the first stage of creating a powerful distinction for Assault Frigates and Heavy Assault Cruisers in specific roles, while avoiding too much direct overlap with classes like Tactical Destroyers, Battlecruisers and Strategic Cruisers. With this change, capsuleers will benefit from increases to velocity, reductions in mass and better capacitor capacity on their Assault Frigates, as well as redefined roles and improved slot and weapons configurations for several individual hulls. With the December release, pilots both new and old will benefit from free access to all Tech I hulls up to Battleship class as part of a large addition of skills to the Alpha skillset. Cross-faction training will also be available for free, allowing for Alpha clone access to vessels across all factions in New Eden. To supplement this change, free access will also be granted to skills that allow for the use of Tech II small and medium weapons systems. With this release, capsuleers can enjoy an event catered toward the newfound power of alpha clones, that celebrates free access to battlecruisers and battleships, and provides rewards themed around them. Tackle the Rogue Drone hives to gather points, and check The Agency in game to see what rewards are available for your efforts! This release will see changes in fuel consumption for all jump capable ships, as well as changes to the requirements for building fuel blocks. The changes will also see a reduction in maximum jump fatigue, in order to balance out the changes in fuel requirements. Once again, the Blood Raider Covenant has appeared in force, prowling the spacelanes of New Eden in the hunt for easy prey during the Crimson Harvest. As new technologies for resource acquisition emerge in the form of Upwell Refineries, new moon mining capabilities and refined reaction processes, pirate factions have set their sights on taking a slice of the dwindling resources that remain in New Eden. With more tools for resource gathering at the hands of capsuleers than ever before, the competition for raw materials and supremacy over space is becoming more heated than ever as the cluster is pushed closer toward the brink of all out conflict. The pirate factions of New Eden continue their arms race for supremacy, as the Guristas Pirates are next to branch out into mass manufacture of capital class vessels. Refusing to sit idle and spectate as the Blood Raiders build a formidable fleet, the Guristas now have their own production facilities which contain highly valuable blueprints for their capital ship designs. With the winter expansion, capsuleers can look forward to assaulting these shipyards in order to get their hands on very rare blueprints for highly capable and advanced capital class vessels. A vessel designed for one purpose — to savage anything hostile it encounters — the Caiman packs a vicious punch from its primary weapons systems while still being able to launch light fighters to provide additional firepower. With the release of Guristas Shipyards, a true dragon is released. A vessel like no other, the Komodo benefits from a huge array of bonuses that allow it to affirm its position as one of the most formidable supercapital class vessels in New Eden. A true support behemoth, the Loggerhead has the staying power to dominate the battlefield, combined with remote repair abilities to ensure that those flying alongside it can remain in the fight for as long as possible. As part of our commitment to making combat in New Eden as visually stunning as possible, all stretch effects for weapon firing have been re-worked for the September release. This includes improved lighting and impact effects for Energy, Hybrid and Projectile weapons which eliminate clipping and give secondary reflections of weapon lighting on the hulls of vessels. Once again, the time has come for alliances across the cluster to lock horns in the largest and most destructive four weekends of the year, as the Alliance Tournament returns in its fifteenth incarnation. The Independent Gaming Commission is offering substantial Serpentis themed prize vessels and SKINs to the victors this year, as the most anticipated Alliance Brawl of the calendar returns. The highly anticipated revamp of Strategic Cruisers has arrived! With the invaluable help of a focus group of EVE community members the Strategic Cruiser class has been rebalanced to emphasize their customizability and unique modular design. Each of the Tech 3 subsystems have been adjusted or merged to ensure that all three hundred and twenty four possible combinations serve as valuable options for Strategic Cruiser pilots. New dedicated subsystem bays and removable rigs allow Strategic Cruisers to fulfil the promise of a ship that can be rebuilt and customized to meet the evolving needs of its owner. For the Matari, July 11 is a day of celebration that marks the end of the rebellion against the Amarr Empire, the severing of the shackles that held trillions of Minmatar in bondage for countless generations, and the founding of the Minmatar Republic. As part of the ongoing effort to keep New Eden looking as beautiful and detailed as possible, the Rupture class cruiser is next in line for a substantial visual overhaul. With the July release, new shaders, textures and geometry, ensure that capsuleers can enjoy an all new rupture that still maintains iconic lines of the original. For an in depth look at how the new Rupture was put together, check out the dev blog in the link below! After the recent changes to the design of the Dominix class battleship, capsuleers across the cluster can now also enjoy a new look for the Sin, which bursts into a new lease of life with reworked geometry, animations and all new textures. The Federation Navy have placed focus on the redesign of one of their staple combat cruisers — the Vexor. In this release the Vexor will receive a new lease of life for capsuleers to enjoy, with fresh textures, new geometry and transition animations between warp and traditional sub-light flight. The Blood Raider Covenant have been working hard to bolster their military capability and ensure that they are at the forefront of combat technology, utilizing technology stolen from the Amarr Empire. Blood Raider shipyards provide a unique opportunity for capsuleers from across the cluster to assault Blood Raider manufacturing facilities and military staging points, salvaging blueprints that will allow the construction of formidable Blood Raider capital vessels. Capsuleers beware — these shipyards are very well defended, and should they come under attack, Blood Raider backup forces are never too far away…. The in-development video for the Track down and attack new Blood Raider Shipyards for the chance to salvage blueprints for all new Blood Raider capital vessels, but be prepared to face advanced logistics and reactive AI in large numbers. Developed by the Blood Raider Covenant to provide battlefield support for their new capital fleet, the Dagon supports its advanced armor repairing capabilities with state of the art energy vampire subsystems, allowing it to drain capacitor charge from hostile vessels to power its own systems. Based on the Avatar class titan, the Molok is a technological terror that most adversaries do not survive an encounter with. Advanced energy vampire subsystems coupled with turrets that offer brutal stopping power, the Molok is regarded as one of the most powerful supercapital class vessels in the cluster. A twisted take on the Revelation class dreadnought, the Chemosh was born out of a need for the Blood Raider Covenant to compete with the destructive capabilities of both Imperial and capsuleer fleets. With this release, capsuleers will be able to enjoy a new design for the Pacifier, as the latest iteration of the hull from CONCORD Aerospace takes to the stars, preserving and protecting peace across the cluster. Based on subsystems from the Amarr designed Punisher class frigate and the Matari Rifter, the Pacifier is a frigate that is renowned across the cluster for its ferocity in battle. A civilian edition of the Pacifier will be issued to all Fanfest ticket purchasers in a release this summer, and while this vessel has its CONCORD subsystems stripped out, pilots will find that it is still a formidable little vessel, able to hold its own on the field of battle. CONCORD Aerospace have overhauled the Enforcer to make it a more efficient and lethal law enforcement platform that will be prowling the spaceplanes across the cluster with this release. Join celebrations across the cluster as New Eden turns 14 years old, and mark the occasion with the YC Capsuleer Day pod skin, which will be issued to every active account, as well as a selection of fireworks and a Festival Launcher that can be used to fire them at your most beloved wingmen! Check out the major things that were added to EVE Online in just a single year, between Fanfest and Fanfest Caldari engineers are on a roll with this release, bringing forward another redesign of the Cormorant and Flycatcher class destroyer and interdictor for your viewing pleasure. One of the most widely used destroyers in New Eden, the Cormorant and its tech II variants will benefit from a brand new model and animations. This release will see some balance changes to the Rorqual, as well as some tweaks to mining in general with faster cycle times and reduced yield for excavator mining drones, as well as killmail generation on destruction of excavator drones. Tech two mining drones will gain the benefits of the Mining Drone Specialization skill and all mining drones can now be launched and controlled with customizable hotkeys. In addition to this, in order to focus further on its intended purpose, the PANIC module will now require active target lock on an asteroid or ice deposit before it can be activated. In this release, fighters will receive an increase in signature radius to bring them closer to the size of heavy drones, allowing more options for counter-fighter gameplay. In addition to this, the Wyvern and Hel class supercarriers will benefit from an increase in hangar bay size to balance them more equally against the Nyx and Aeon. This will allow Heavy Interdictor pilots to choose between three separate and balance modes for their Warp Disruption Field generators, each with their own strengths. Every so often, engineers at the Caldari Navy take a look at their vessel lineup and perform a technology review. With an all new, sleeker, smoother and higher detail model and texture package that uses the same texture technology as citadels, the Chimera will be looking better than ever with this release. With this release, a balancing pass will be made on many of the Burst Projectors available for use in combat, with an increase to the duration of their effects. As part of the In this release, there will be a number of minor improvements throughout the game, including various fixes to the Camera and the Fitting Simulation window such as drone and rig calculations, saving corporate fittings and correctly updating the velocity of your ships when mass changes in the Simulator. With the arrival of the During the 12 days of the festival, capsuleers will be able to check their redeeming system for gifts that will range from ship SKINs, to trinkets that mark events throughout the year, as well as a Cerebral Accelerator, apparel, and other celebratory gifts. Please be aware that starting December 14th at UTC these holiday gifts will begin to appear in your redeeming system. Each gift will be present for 24 hours, until UTC, when it will be replaced by the next gift. Be sure to log in and claim your gifts from your redeeming system to avoid missing out! With the Cloning scientists in New Eden have been hard at work with the aim of bolstering their military capability of capsuleers for use by the Empires. Omega clones will be familiar to our current pilots, and will operate just like a subscribed character does today. The skill set that Alpha Clones can train is race specific to the character that is training, and includes skills for flying tech one frigates, destroyers and cruisers, and for basic access to trading and industry. Command Bursts will completely replace the existing Warfare Link system in our November release. These new high-slot modules can be fitted to any ship that can currently fit Warfare Links, and allow any ship fitted with these modules to boost their fleet members, within a specific area in space. Once applied, these boosts will continue even if you go out of range of the boosting ship, or warp, or the boosting ship dies. Command Bursts are high-slot modules that can be fitted to the same classes of ships that can currently fit Warfare Links. They must be loaded with charges, and this charge choice will determine which bonus the module applies to fleet members. Charges can be swapped in the field, but long reload times mean the timing and choices of a boosting pilot is important. Boosting pilots will need only be fitted with the Command Burst modules to be able to boost any members of their fleet in range. The boosts applied to fleets are no longer tied to the boosting ship's position in fleet - any fleet member can provide bonuses to any fleetmate that is within range. More pilots can now be fielded with the ability to help their fellow fleet members, and they will be able to change the type of boosts they give during combat, as the situation around them changes. We are looking forward to seeing what the capsuleers of New Eden do with this more engaging and active fleet gameplay. Titans will be receiving a special new Effect Generator capability that replaces their current passive bonuses. Titan pilots will be able to fit these new modules one per race that warp the fabric of reality across a very large area of effect. In the new Command Burst system we are ensuring multiple layers of feedback so everyone involved can understand the situation. Command Bursts will have a clear visual effect indicating the area in which ships will receive the buff, Combat logs will state how many pilots have been affected, and the "effects bar" will indicate when you are receiving a buff, and from where. With the arrival of EVE Online: Ascension, our audio and graphics team have been hard at work with a complete redesign of the explosion system in EVE, in order to compliment the recently introduced visual damage system. In addition to this, the team have also been hard at work renovating wrecks too, in order to ensure that they better represent ship wreckage, and fit more seamlessly into the new visual damage and explosion systems. The Rorqual is finally coming into its own, with additional modules unique to this hull and Giant Mining Drones to enhance this Resource Gathering behemoth. With additional fuctionality unique to this hull, and a compliment of specialized mining drones, the Rorqual is about to become an industrial force to be reckoned with. This new module represents one of the many optional tools available to Rorqual pilots after our November release. This module can be used to make yourself and your industrial allies invulnerable for a limited time if needed for any reason. As part of the process of making New Eden feel more exciting, vibrant and alive, more non-capsuleer activity will be introduced to the world of EVE with the November expansion. The first stage of this will non-capsuleer resource gathering operations in asteroid belts, introducing new opportunities for interaction with the various factions in New Eden. The Crimson Harvest returns this year, as the Blood Raider Covenant look to embark on their annual harvest of capsuleer blood. Famed for their kidnapping, bloodletting and ruthless raids into populated space, the story of the Blood Raiders is a tale that sends shivers down the spine of children across the Amarr Empire and beyond. This October, how will the Empire fair against the coming onslaught with a newly crowned Empress on the Golden Throne of Amarr? Will you fight for the golden fleet, or choose to prey upon those who look to thwart the Blood Raider advance? With 64 teams poised to fight it out for the Alliance Tournament Cup, who will be victorious this year? This year the Independent Gaming Commission has secured a set of Blood Raider vessels, and their engineers have completed making modifications that provide their own insane spin on these fearsome hulls. The Crimson Harvest returns this year, with the Blood Raider Covenant always looking for revenge against the Empire, and setting their sights on fresh capsuleer blood for their annual harvest. The Amarr Navy are on standby under the command of the newly ordained Empress, Catiz I and security forces across the cluster are bracing for a firestorm of conflict. Will you assist the empires? Or will you look to pick off those who attempt to curb the Blood Raider threat? After the mining barge overhaul with the A refactoring of the inner workings of our post processing PP system has led to significant client performance improvements across the board, with the biggest impact on AMD GPUs. In addition to giving our PP engine more horsepower we have improved the bloom effect and consolidated options such as HDR and crepuscular rays into the system. With the Imperial Guard in military parade formation and the entire Amarr Navy on standby across the Empire for such a historic and auspicious event, the Golden Fleet will mark the formal ascension of Catiz I to her rightful seat on the Golden Throne of Holy Amarr. As well as a review of the role of the Rorqual, Mining Barges will also receive a significant overhaul. This includes both a visual update to bring them more inline with the new art style for ORE hulls, as well as tweaks to improve their functionality and efficiency in the field. As the coronation of Empress Catiz I draws closer, there are those who consider her ascension to the Golden Throne of Holy Amarr both unjust and improper, based on archaic views that call the purity of her Udorian heritage into question. With the might of the Imperial Armed Forces at her heel, and both the Ministry of Internal Order and Theology Council ratifying the views of the Purity of the Throne movement as heretical, bounties have been placed on the heads of their members. The Empire is encouraging capsuleers across the cluster to strip the heretics of their colors, and wear them in support of the ascension of Catiz I to her rightful place as the leader of the Amarr Empire. Cheap and versatile, the Slasher is one of the most common vessels to be found in the Republic's space. Now sleek and smooth, with an air of Matari aggressiveness, the hull has had a significant redesign that has been carried over to its tech II counterparts, the Claw and Stiletto. A high tech little frigate with incredible electronic warfare capability, the Maulus is a staple electronic superiority support frigate of the Federation Navy. Now sharper, more streamlined and aggressive, its hull has been given a restyle which has also benefited the tech II variant, the Keres, and the Maulus Navy Issue. Designed to counter the Matari frigate menace, the Executioner is a fast, agile weapons platform that sacrifices the usually heavy armor typical in Amarr design for maneuverability. A subtle design pass over the hull of this popular little frigate has made sure that it, and it's tech II counterparts the Crusader and Malediction are the forefront of the Golden Fleet's parade formations. A strong and sturdy little chassis that was originally conceived as a mining frigate, the Bantam recently had a radical redesign to turn its blueprint into a logistics and support platform for the Caldari Navy's light, fast border patrols. Now more visually distinctive than ever, the Kirin logistics frigate has also benefitted from this overhaul and update. A bulky little frigate favored as a scout and cargo runner, as well as a rookie mining vessel, the Probe is widely loved by many Matari pilots due to its robust subframe and heavy armor. With this redesign, a subtle update of the vessel's visual appearance gives a more modern Matari look to the hull, which is passed on to the DNA of the Cheetah class covert ops frigate. An infamous Caldari designed frigate with a fearsome sensor suite that can wreak havoc against much larger hostile vessels, the Griffin is an incredibly versatile electronic warfare platform. A full redesign from the ground up gives this cutting edge frigate the look it deserves, which also carried over to the tech II Kitsune, and the Griffin Navy Issue. As part of our efforts to make the user interface more intuitive, this release will include a more detailed overview of a pilot's ship's storage spaces, including more visual representation of the status of ship holds and how full they are. Configurable through a right click menu, pilots will now be able to select which hold to track, so that they may see a percentage readout of how much capacity is taken up by their current cargo, and can receive feedback via visual notifications when this changes during in space activities such as mining and salvaging. Station hangar environments have been improved by adding point lights, this makes use of a DirectX 11 only feature. Share your feedback. Various usability improvements are coming to the tactical overlay with the The Serpentis, with the help of their allies the Angels, have made large leaps in capital ship design and construction thanks to vessels and techonlogy stolen from the Gallente Federation, and acquired through other illegitimate means. The first breed of pirate capital ships will see the introduction of Dreadnought, Supercarrier and Titan class hulls fresh from the Serpentis Corporation's shipyards in Fountain. As Corporations, Alliances and Coalitions grow in size, more tools are needed to ensure that infrastructure scales to meet the growing demand for fitted ships, logistics, and supply during combat. Bulk fitting allows pilots to fit multiple ships at the same time, in order to save time and ensure that everyone from a small gang to a fleet of epic proportions can be reshipped and back in the action as soon as possible. In an effort to improve the flow of the new player experience for rookie pilots, a number of changes will be made to notifications and information displayed in game. Opportunity guidance will be improved to include clearer instructions, better flow, improved sense of progress and meaningful context to mechanical tasks. An Opportunities path will also be suggested to strengthen a sense of progression. Combat that forms part of opportunities will also be made more dynamic, and a series of UI improvements will be implemented to give deeper clarification for a number of in game activities including mining and wallet transactions. Check out the New Eden Store in game with the These SKINs will be time exclusive for the duration of the Shadow of the Serpent event, but will make an appearence again in future! Outposts and Stations were the tools you used to bring the universe under your control. It is time to set sights on grander ambitions. Citadels are massive player-created cities in space, dwarfing almost everything the Empires have ever constructed. Medium, Large, and XL Citadels - the Astrahus, Fortizar, and Keepstar respectively - the largest of which is massive enough to offer super-capital ship docking bays. Module Slots allow for weaponry, electronic warfare and rigging components to be installed. Modular construction to add markets, clone units, compression systems and other facilities. Ship Tethering provides security for friendly ships close to the Citadel, granting safe passage in and out of the structure. Unlimited Personal and Corporation Hangars provide residence for even the largest of Alliances. Each citadel has a weekly maintenance period where recalibration is handled. The larger the citadel, the larger the maintenance window. It is during this time that citadels are vulnerable to attack. The cost to construct a citadel can range from million to over billion depending on the size of the citadels and its amenities. A trivial price for a fortified city among the stars. Read this dev blog on structure fitting. Join us in this cinematic tour of the features that arrive with the deployment of EVE Online: Citadel. As the Carriers move into their new fighter combat role, Force Auxiliaries will take their place as the remote repair capital ships. While limited in combat capabilities to a drone bay, they excel at logistics and support, being the only capital class ships with bonuses to remote repair modules or capable of fitting Triage modules. Force Auxiliary Capitals will also have fleet hangars, ship hangars, and refitting abilities accessible to all members of their fleet. As the balance of power in New Eden leans further toward the capsuleers, so do the industries that seek to keep pace. Nowhere is it more noticeable than in the capital ship construction yards. Competition for capsuleer ISK has brought an unprecedented evolution in capital ship features and design. A number of factions in New Eden just got bigger, badder and more heavily armed with the introduction of new Capital class NPCs for more advanced pilots to encounter and engage on their travels. These new encounters will happen everywhere from anomalies to asteroid belts, so pilots will need to be on their toes for the chance to take down these new targets and acquire exciting advanced items, including weaponry. A whole new genre of weapons will open up a myriad of fresh tactical options for capital pilots. New capital weapons that track faster and hit harder will be available, enabling fitting options so that capital pilots can actively and effectively engage sub-capital vessels, bringing more exciting and engaging gameplay options to those who fly capital class hulls, and organizations who have the muscle to deploy capital fleets. With the re-balance of capital ships in the Citadel expansion, new super weapons are being added to give more varied and engaging conflict during fleet engagements. Forming a beam, cone, or a high-damage slash of energy through space, as well as being specifically targeted, these new superweapons will open up a whole host of tactical options for fleet commanders and titan pilots with the release of EVE Online: Citadel. More choices, and choices that matter. Over modules have been updated to make selection less linear and provide more options when outfitting your ships for electronic warfare. The Stasis Grappler is a new class of webifier for battleships and capitals being introduced with this update. It will be the first webifier-type module to use falloff, which will reduce the strength of the web as the range increases, however it operates with significant strength when active at optimal range. Related news. A recent update added visual damage to ships from turrets and most other weapons. Smartbombs and Doomsday weapons are now included, allowing players to now see the punishing effects of these devastating weapons upon their unfortunate targets. The latest phase of Upwell Consortium's plan is in motion, and construction is starting on the first citadel. The Upwell Consortium will reward a few lucky pilots who participate with Astrahus Citadel BPCs M-size for the top contributor and two randomly chosen pilots as well as names of the top contributor and the winners of the prize draw will feature on the description on the prototype citadel they helped build. We have been looking at all of the great ideas and feedback that you, the players have put together, and will be introducing many of these suggestions through changes to ships and modules. All new shield, armor and structure hit effects bring an epic new feel to any engagement in true sci-fi fashion. The more your ship sees active duty, the more dust and debris collects on its hull. Ships also collect rust in station hangars. Layers of history prove survival in a universe where everything is fleeting and only the best of the best grow old. Have no fear, worn ships can be cleaned through a service available in the Fitting window. Ninja-mine lucrative ice fields, slip into frigate-only shattered wormholes, and sneak between your favorite mining spots with the nimble new Tech II Ice Mining Frigate. With instability spreading across the cluster, the Empire navies are hard at work developing new ships to reward and equip their dedicated loyalist Capsuleers. Four new Navy Disruption Frigates are rolling off the assembly lines, wielding powerful electronic warfare systems alongside strong applied damage. These ships are an excellent match for small gang and solo pvpers. New Tech Two versions of the remote-repairing Support Frigates are being released, opening up new progression paths for your friendly neighborhood Logibros. These ships are especially well suited for supporting fleets of fast-moving Frigates and Destroyers without falling behind the pack. Four new Tech II Destroyers that favor defense and speed and can fit the powerful and versatile area-of-affect Micro Jump Field Generators, which microjump you and any ships nearby far from your current location. The limitations on repeat teleportation have been adjusted, lowering the maximum possible jump fatigue to 5 days. Following community feedback and our internal observations, Entosis Links will no longer be available on Interceptors in Sovereignty space. Although further iterations of the Aegis Sov system will be introduced shortly, we wish to introduce this change as soon as possible. Combat and Navy Battlecruisers have visited the shipyards for numerous upgrades! Combat performance has been improved across the board, including enhanced mobility and a new role bonus adding to their long-range damage projection. The Caldari affinity for utilitarian design is the reason many were surprised to see their shipyards the birthplace of Designer SKINs. Eliina Kariopka, known for high-impact designs, brings the fiery intensity of Caldari Prime's evening skies to nanocoat technology in "Raata Sunset", the first of several Designer SKINs for Caldari ships. Artists from various factions have secured contracts and resources to begin developing bold new styles, with many expecting to roll out in the near future. The time for the iconic look of this historic battleship to evolve has come, and the Gallente have spared no expense in updating the appearance of this glorious warhorse. Built upon the Dominix hull, the Sin has long been Gallente's entry in the field of battleship Black Ops. With its predecessor's redesign comes one of its own, including rumors of a complete hull overhaul in the near future. Your camera has always been quick to get you to the next target once the current one is destroyed, but there are times you want to relish the moment. The camera now stays on structures and ships when they explode, granting the victor those precious seconds of satisfaction. Community feedback, internal monitoring, and input from the CSM have all aided in creating a round of improvements to the sovereignty system. The latest list and details of the changes can be found in the Features and Ideas section of the forums here. Two new modules, Missile Guidance Computer and Missile Guidance Enhancers, expand your options in setting up the perfect missile ship. Heavy missile users will also notice an improvement to damage, and a slight reduction to torpedo volume. We dialed the Ishtar back just enough to bring it in line with other ships of its class, while still maintaining its place as a great drone boat. Drone Damage Amplifiers now do slightly less amplifying, and adjustments were made to the slot layout and some speed stats. The Gallente Federation Navy round out the new collection of Tech 3 tactical destroyers with the Hecate, a sleek and deadly vessel with multiple battle modes. Based on performance and community feedback, the Amarr Confessor and Minmatar Svipul head back to the shipyards for a few adjustments. Get gone faster as warp speed and acceleration boosts give a bit of extra kick to Battlecruisers. Warp rigs also get some penalty changes to make them more desirable to more pilots. Combined with tweaks to Bouncer Sentry Drones, damage and survivability of the Ishtar is now more in line with other ships, allowing for greater diversity in the field. The Rate of Fire of all medium rail guns has been reduced by 7. Expect to see more diverse weaponry in future cruiser fleets. Fighter delegation from Carriers and Super Carriers makes an exit. No longer will fleets of powerful fighters be able to assault small fleets from the safety of starbase shields. Stats for all four strategic cruiser systems have been adjusted to make more combinations viable. A new tactical destroyer has taken flight, this time from shipyards of the Minmatar Republic. Specializing in small projectile weaponry makes it deadly. It's ability to physically morph into Defensive, Propulsion and Sharpshooter modes on-the-fly make it a game changer. Defense Mode: Propulsion Mode: Sharpshooter Mode: Following on the heels of the energy weapon rebalancing, Tiamat takes on projectile weapons, focusing on improving quality and diversity of both weapons and ammunition. EVE Fitting Tool EFT format, a common format used on several popular fansites and killboards, can now be copied to clipboard and imported to the game. Experiment with new builds! The secrets kept behind the encrypted gates of hidden research facilities have been revealed. Pirate factions prepare to field their upgraded ships, looking forward to the easy prey of those unaware of what they are about to face. Luckily, there is no technology in the known universe that capsuleers cannot get their hands on, one way or another. Harness the pirates' power and use their unique strengths to your advantage. Outer Ring Excavations ORE has set out to capitalize on the success of its Venture mining frigate, currently one of the most popular ships in the universe, by introducing the Prospect an expedition frigate for miners that like life on the edge. ORE has also overhauled mining barges and exhumers, re-engineering them to update yield, capacity, and defense. Decrease your risk of being scanned down and travel farther faster with cloaking and covert cyno support, opening up new opportunities previously too dangerous to venture after. Break from the pack and bring adventure into your mining runs. Fortune favors the bold! Drones, originally developed by the Gallente in the Caldari-Gallente War, have become a well-known presence in New Eden. Combat drones, in particular, are now established as a reliable primary weapon system. This has led to the development of new drone support modules, expanding their power and versatility. To make drones more accessible to newer pilots in the wake of these advances, several drone skill requirements have been reduced. Each faction's drones have their own strengths in combat. Gallente drones deliver thermal damage and are the slowest of the four faction drones, but their damage output is superior. Caldari drones deliver kinetic damage, dealing slightly less damage than the Gallente drones, but offer more speed. Amarr drones deliver electro-magnetic EM damage, with a good balance of speed and destruction. Minmatar drones deliver explosive damage. They deliver the lowest damage of the combat drones but make up for that with unrivaled speed. Share on Facebook Share on Twitter. Patch notes.
