I'm trying to figure a way to export 3D models from the CDK. My means are to use them mostly in posters and shorts films for my squadron :. It can and has been done but doing it isn't easy, but more importantly it breaks the EULA and could get you banned. Here is a video link that goes through the process of extracting the 3d models. The whole point is so that if some idiot was to extract the models and put them in his own game, gaijin can quote their EULA when they begin legal process against the offender. But extracting the models is kind of a tedious process. The current method creates about 5 duplicates of each vehicle part, so when importing it can crash 3dsmax due to the parts. Then you need to re-scale the pieces manually, as two of the axis are incorrect and the model is squashed. After that you have to reassemble the parts and put the model back together, as the parts of the vehicle don't extract to the original placement. If I end up doing it, it will not be used elsewhere than War Thunder related content pictures or shorts , so it should be fine.
