Since the 3 aura mods Corrosive Projection, Shield Disruption, and Infested Impedance have been nerfed, almost all aura mods are now at an even ground for the most part for usage. Here is the new problem, there is one space that is separating most of the mods: capacity. Most mod give 7 14 points at max rank versus Steel Charge and Power Donation giving 9 18 points. Most people will probably migrate to Steel Charge at some point because it gives the most points. To bring more competition to this slot and to eliminate some mods being kicked to the waste side, here is my suggestion:. Reasoning: builds are getting expensive and doing this will increase build variety for personal playstyle across the board. I see this a win-win for the players and the game given for the direction it's heading with the recent changes. I would love rank 10 Aura mods as much as the next guy however I feel it would severely devalue the need for Forma in builds. Don't get me wrong, Forma will still be hugely important but many builds would require less formaing to achieve the results most players are looking for. While I do think it's a bit unfair that Steel Charge has the highest amount of capacity for an Aura mod, I think it nullifies itself based on there being better Auras out there. With forma taking 24 hours to build and how many most builds need I would imagine its a good plat sink. Less need for forma means less profit for DE. I think all Auras being 8 or 9 capacity bonus would be consistent and fair. The main issue though isn't the capacity bonus but the fact most if not all Auras need a complete rework because they are mostly useless or unnecessary. Of course Aura Forma addressed some of my concerns, and we did not have Umbral Mods when I posted that thread.
