I rarely see any good posts that talks about Set mods or talk about anything meta about it ever since PoE came out. Some say Gladiator mods. › Feedback › General. Also the warframe and melee mod are kind of a big ask, I generally don't just have a spare mod slot on a frame for something like that. Not all Mods are made equal in Warframe. We're ranking every Mod set in the game from worst to best. Set Mods are a unique class of Mods that offer increasing bonuses when one or more mods in a set are equipped on the player's Warframe and weapons. Item Compatibility: What the mod can be equipped on and if it's part of a Mod Set. Mods are applicable either to a type of equipment (e.g. “MELEE”), or to a. Because Nidus is a great Warframe and his skill set makes him a great choice be a hassle and sadly the augmented mods are not really worth the mod slot. There are certain mods that make Warframe much more beginner friendly. These are the most useful of them all. The set bonus is +60 percent critical chance per combo multiplier when all mods in the set are used. Each mod is worth +10 percent critical. Comprises 1 Warframe Mod, 2 Primary Mods, and 3 Beast Mods. Set Bonus: During a Wall Latch gain +17/33/50% Damage Reduction. What Are Warframe Mods?
By FrostDragoon , September 16, in General. There are a couple exceptions, of course, but the sets a whole are wildly underwhelming and it's hard to even justify niche uses for most of the mods themselves--let alone complete sets. Anyone have some insight into this? DE have plans to do anything about it? Gladiator and Vigilante set bonuses are quite good and stackable on a sentinel weapon for a full set if you're so inclined. Augur set bonus isn't fantastic but I don't think anyone uses them specifically for that, they're just quite handy little mods though I think they recently reworked Augur mods and I was getting fat overshields from them. Strain set would be decent if the helminth charger itself wasn't so buggy and unreliable. Especially with the Strain effect affecting the hitbox and getting the dog stuck in random doorways and under stairs constantly. Also the warframe and melee mod are kind of a big ask, I generally don't just have a spare mod slot on a frame for something like that. I honestly couldn't tell you what the set bonuses for those are without looking. Problem are the mods themselves, not the set bonus. Vigilante: great bonus for crit weapons, only 2 really useful mods, Fervor and Armaments. Can be used on Sentinel weapons though. Augur: great mods, weak set bonus. Only real usage would be for Hildryn, but wont work on her because she dont use energy to cast. Otherwise just an extra thin layer of defence if you cast often. Gladiator: mods okayish only for tanky frames and set effect is outclassed by single mod - Blood Rush. Hunter: great mods, set bonus really depends on RNG. Best if you build an attack doggo and you wield a crit weapon, but pet AI can be bad at times. But enhancing Kavat life and its ability duration can be a game changer. Synth: useful mods, set effect not that much unless you swap weapons often. Mecha: kinda like Helios' precept that adds a single weakspot, except on whole body. Need full set to work properly otherwise too long cooldown on the mark. Alternative for attack doggos, but imo Hunter is more reliable. Strain: Helminth exclusive, very powerful but with quite long cooldown. Best to use whole set to increase amount of Maggots for Eruption explosions, but that extra heal can be nice. Yes they are really not worth using for the set bonuses. I will use the auger mods if I really only care about one or two stats but the set bonus is definitely an after thought not the main reason I'd use them. It would be nice if they were balanced around the opportunity cost involved with using them meaning the fact that you can't use them with many of the staple mods like vitality, flow, stream line, intensify, etc. Typically if you wanted to use a full set it means giving up two or more of these very powerful mods for an effect that is mediocre at best and completely useless at worst. DE isn't great at taking actual builds that people really use into consideration when they are balancing these things. To keep them from becoming must-haves that completely obsolete most any non-set related mods and relegate builds that don't make extensive use of sets completely worthless. Instead they went the opposite direction. The sets themselves are meaningless. A few individual mods are okay, but the set bonuses are utterly ignored. One of the issues they face is that certain mods are simply "mandatory" because of a design philosophy that hasn't updated in almost 8 years. If these were instead a function of the weapon's current level and your MR, they could at least free up one mod slot on every weapon in the game. What players would do with it, I don't know. Some might just be like, "yee, moar dmg! It could be that those utility mods should go into some version of "exilus" slots for weapons if they ever expect to see use. Either way, there are just certain mods that will never see the light of day because of the way enemy scaling and damage scaling work. Putting these stats into "set bonuses" won't change that.
