Walking Mods Discussion. Any of you use a walking mod, like natural locomotion or VRocker? Natural locomotion with the joycons keeps cutting out and my character will be very spotty with moving. VRocker is more consistent seems but it seems to move me around depending on how my hands are tilted which I don't like. I've liked VRocker better so far just because it is smoother and the joycons are a huge pain connecting every time and strapping on. Is WalkOVR worth the bucks? Are there others out there to try still? Thanks in advance. You misunderstood VRocker - the way it actually works is it detects head bobbing, which is the natural result of locomoting you arms and legs however you like. This is different than natural locomotion which is using your hand controllers with optional leg controller hacks. Vrocker still uses the existing motion sticks as is, but just a touch on the right stick is used to indicate you want to locomote instead with your head bobbing. This really threw me at first as it was very stop and start as I was accidently losing touch - also during lock picking I had to not touch when I wanted to pick the lock until it was time to turn the lock. But you cannot beat how natural VRocker feels for nearly free once you understand how it works and find the head bob that works for you. I see me to go whatever I set the character speed in Skyrim. I can walk or sprint by pushing in the left joystick but I would like a nice jog in the middle but I can seem to get my character to do a different speed, also can you sprint without pushing in the left joystick by just moving faster? Also make sure average speed is off, the burst of acceleration from your head bobbing matching screen is what makes you not barf. Try using the arm swing setting to see if it works. I use vive trackers on my ankles and everything works flawlessly so maybe pick up two for your feet? Accurate enough that I can also play contractors and pavlov this way as well. No other accessories used. I don't need to, but maybe it takes some people to get the hang of it? I have a larger play space, so I usually use my body for combat and don't use artificial locomotion at all. I use VRocker, but I only want to use it during long stretches of forwards movement. So I have it mapped to holding a button plus pushing the stick in the direction I want to go. Not sure if your aware, but in VRocker in the advanced settings you can change the 'breaking' settings so that it doesn't register pointing your controller down as wanting to stop. There's also a load of other break settings which might be of use. Not sure if that helps you? Personally I tried turning it off for a bit but eventually decided leaving it on worked best for me. It used to work with WMR, but not anymore, so I stopped using it, but I had very good results with it in the past. If I remember well, you can use trackers, and it's also detecting the HDM movements, making locomotion much more natural than just swigging your arms around. I use natlo. You might want to try using a legacy version of natlo. Download an older version. Make sure you go thru the entire VRocker tutorial to truly get the hang of it. Watch their demo reels there are many different ways, including monkey waggle. I use nalo, but I fully jog in place with just the controllers and it works well for me. What setting you using on nalo, arms or legs and if legs what are you strapping on? For combat and small movements I just use the stick.
